I make paintings which explore colour fields, both digitally and materially, abstracting ideas drawn from observation. In my early work I experimented with the properties of clay and my graduate show was selected for Visionfest, Liverpool 1992. I studied ceramics at CityLit, London and worked in Arts administration for a while, before completing a postgraduate course in Printing and Publishing at London College of Printing. This led to a job at BBC Books and a career in book design. I moved from London to Wales and in 2000 began lecturing in Art & Design, teaching life drawing, painting and creative design. In 2010 I created the imprint Rosamond Books, to produce artists' books, both my own and others.
